90 this week!
A celebration this week of our 90th birthday! On 4th July 1922 Maclean Kay signed the deal to buy Satemwa. A year later the first tea was planted. This year also marks 120 years since the property now known as Satemwa was first registered.

Rutin is a compound that we haven’t heard of before, never mind associated with tea – apparently it blocks a dangerous enzyme that is involved in formation of blood clots. Found in both green and black tea (and therefore one assumes oolong and white tea too) read more - http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-2141602/Chemical-apples-onions-green-tea-help-beat-blood-clots.html

Tea Review
Read an unsolicited review of our Zomba Pearls by a Polish Wine Writer http://blog.polishwineguide.com/2010/12/30/white-tea-from-malawi/ It really is such an awesome tea. I haven’t had some for a while now – Saturday late morning, think it might just be the right time to enjoy a cup of Malawi’s finest!
